Slave Journal entry 1
There are basic rules I have been given for online use while my Master and I are apart. I forget myself often. If we are in a heated messenger discussion I forget to make corrections, or use capitals and punctuation. I’m so busy speeding along with my normal six fingers typing trying to keep up with him that the order just gets pushed to the back of my priorities. Yes this is a big failure on my part.
Although I’ve become much better about using things like Capital letters and periods or apostrophes while texting in normal conversation, if I am at all upset for any reason I slip right back into old habits.
I never used to use punctuation in any form in text messaging. I never used “you’re” when typing anything, it was always just “your.” I know the rules for writing but I guess 15 years of text messages and typing my way have made me so lazy I’ve actually dummied myself down. I have noticed a marked improvement in using spell check. Most of what comes up in there now is my use of lower case “I” in words like I’m, I’ll, I’ve more so than anything else.
I am a six finger typist. This is the hardest thing in the world to correct because my three left hand fingers and three right hand fingers aren’t trained to where the shift keys and punctuation keys are. So I miss a lot of the time. I went and bought a typing tutor program for my computer. Of course I get it home and try to install it and the password to install it doesn’t exist. The directions say the password is the third word after the first sentence that has the name of the program in the install instructions. I’ve typed every single word from the install instructions in the box and none of them work. Is there a tech support for the program? Hell no! So, I struggle along with my old typing book from high school in my word processor trying to force the home row LOL.
I wasn’t ordered to correct the way I type but I suppose it will make it so my fingers are in a better position to hit the right keys if I can straighten that out too.
When I am online I have to ask permission to search the net, add friends to messengers, respond to groups, use my email, and if my Master is online with me in say a chat area I must always address him first when I enter the chat.
We have a protocol for using messenger too. I am a hiya kind of person. My Master however, is more the hello type. It is something I like about him very much. It was his text that attracted me to him. There is something elegant about the way he speaks to you. He has this manner about him even in person that I am just drawn to.
Any time I open messenger and he is online my first address to him should always be to address him properly with Hello Master, Good morning/afternoon/evening Master, or something along those lines. This is to be followed with Does my Master have any instructions for his slave at this time.
Typing this stuff always makes me smile. His notice when I do these things makes me smile even more!
